Career Summary
Mike Tomlin is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the head coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers since 2007. During this time period, the Steelers compiled a 183-105-2 record. He was the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2007 until the 2024 season, during which time the Steelers went 183-105-2. During his career he was a head coach for eighteen seasons. In 2008, the Steelers won the Super Bowl against the Arizona Cardinals 27-23.

As the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers he coached two players to award-winning seasons: James Harrison, AP Defensive Player of the Year in 2008; Troy Polamalu, AP Defensive Player of the Year in 2010.

Before he was a head coach, Tomlin served as an assistant coach for Tony Dungy, Jon Gruden, and Brad Childress. Four of these years were spent on Gruden's coaching staff. One assistant coach from his coaching staffs, Bruce Arians, was eventually hired as a head coach. After coaching on Mike Tomlin's coaching staff, he was the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers for eight seasons where he combined for a regular season record of 80-48-1 and 6-3 in the playoffs. His also coached the 2020 Buccaneers to the Super Bowl.
