Career Summary
Raheem Morris is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers since 2026. Prior to this season, he coached for the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons, and Los Angeles Rams for twenty-four seasons. His most recent position was with the Falcons as their head coach. During his career he was a head coach for five seasons, first with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He led the Buccaneers for three seasons, compiling a record of 17-31-0. He was fired from the Buccaneers on Monday, January 2, 2012. His next head coaching stint was with the Atlanta Falcons from 2024 to 2025, as he led the team to a 16-18-0 record. He was fired from the Falcons on Sunday, January 4, 2026. He was fired by the Falcons after two straight 8-9 finishes in the division. During his entire head coaching career, his two teams combined for a record of 33-49-0 across five seasons. Morris will be the defensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers for the 2026 season.
