The Chicago Bears' sixty-eighth season was in 1987, and it was the sixth season Mike Ditka served as the head coach of the team. The Bears played their home games at Soldier Field. They finished the year 11-4-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the NFC Central, but they lost their first playoff game to the Washington Redskins 21-17. At the end of the season, Dave Duerson was awarded with the Man of the Year award.
