Biography

Harry Gilmer was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1957 until 1982, finishing his career with the St. Louis Cardinals as their quarterbacks coach. Over his seventeen years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative record of 109-116-8. During his career he was the head coach of the Detroit Lions from 1965 until the 1966 season. The Lions went 10-16-2 during their two seasons with Gilmer as head coach.
