Career Summary

Leslie Frazier was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1999 to 2022, finishing his career as the assistant head coach/defensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills. Over his twenty-four years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 213-171-1. He was the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings from 2011 until the 2013 season, during which time the Vikings went 18-29-1. During his career he was a head coach for three seasons. He was fired from the Vikings on Monday, December 30, 2013. Frazier will be the new assistant head coach for the Seattle Seahawks for the 2024 season.

Career Awards

During the 2012 season as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings he coached Adrian Peterson to the Most Valuable Player and AP Offensive Player of the Year.

Before he was a head coach, Frazier served as an assistant coach for Andy Reid, Marvin Lewis, Tony Dungy, Brad Childress, Lovie Smith, John Harbaugh, and Sean McDermott. Six of these years were spent on McDermott's coaching staff. One assistant coach from his coaching staffs, Kevin Stefanski, was eventually hired as a head coach. He is the current head coach of the Cleveland Browns. After coaching with Leslie Frazier he has posted a 37-29-0 record during the regular season and 1-2 in the playoffs as head coach.
