2006 was the fifty-eighth season for the Indianapolis Colts and the fourth season for Tony Dungy as the head coach of the Colts. They finished the season 12-4-0 in the regular season and 4-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Chicago Bears 29-17 for the team's fourth championship. At the conclusion of the season Peyton Manning was awarded with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player.
