The Washington Redskins' sixty-second season was in 1993, playing their home games at RFK Stadium. During the offseason they promoted Richie Petitbon to lead the team. Petitbon previously was the assistant head coach-defense of the Washington Redskins and had seventeen years of coaching experience in the NFL. He was fired from the Redskins on Wednesday, January 5, 1994. They finished the season 4-12-0, 3-5-0 at home and 1-7-0 on the road.
