The Minnesota Vikings' eighth season was in 1968, and it was the second season Bud Grant served as the head coach of the team. The Vikings played their home games at Metropolitan Stadium. They finished the year 8-6-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the Central, but they lost their first playoff game to the Baltimore Colts 24-14.
