The New York Jets' ninth season was in 1968, and it was the sixth season Weeb Ewbank served as the head coach of the team. The Jets played their home games at Shea Stadium. They finished the year 11-3-0 in the regular season and 2-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the AFL championship against the Baltimore Colts 16-7, the team's first championship win. At the end of the season Joe Namath earned Super Bowl Most Valuable Player and AP AFL Player of the Year.
