The New York Jets' ninth season was in 1968, and it was the sixth season Weeb Ewbank served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 11-3-0 in the regular season and 2-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the AFL championship against the Baltimore Colts 16-7, the team's first championship win. At the end of the season Joe Namath earned Super Bowl Most Valuable Player and AP AFL Player of the Year.
