2012 was the eleventh season for the Houston Texans and the sixth season for Gary Kubiak as the head coach of the Texans. They finished the season 12-4-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs eventually losing to the New England Patriots 41-28. At the conclusion of the season J.J. Watt was awarded with the AP Defensive Player of the Year.
