Biography
Career Summary
Mike McDaniel is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers since 2026. Prior to this season, he coached for the Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, and Miami Dolphins for nineteen seasons. His most recent position was with the Dolphins as their head coach. He was the head coach of the Miami Dolphins from 2022 until the 2025 season, during which time the Dolphins went 35-33-0. During his career he was a head coach for four seasons. He was fired from the Dolphins on Thursday, January 8, 2026. McDaniel will be the offensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Chargers for the 2026 season.
