The Kansas City Chiefs' fiftieth season was in 2009, playing their home games at Arrowhead Stadium. During the offseason they hired Todd Haley to lead the team. Haley previously was the offensive coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals and had fourteen years of coaching experience in the NFL. They finished the season 4-12-0, 1-7-0 at home and 3-5-0 on the road. At the end of the season, Brian Waters was awarded with the Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
