The Houston Texans' twenty-second season was in 2023, playing their home games at NRG Stadium. During the offseason they hired DeMeco Ryans to lead the team. Ryans previously was the defensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers and had six years of coaching experience in the NFL. They finished the year 10-7-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC South, and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Baltimore Ravens 34-10.
