The St. Louis Cardinals' fifty-fourth season was in 1974, and it was the second season Don Coryell served as the head coach of the team. The Cardinals played their home games at Busch Stadium (II). They finished the year 10-4-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the NFC East, but they lost their first playoff game to the Minnesota Vikings 30-14. At the end of the season, Don Coryell was awarded with the Coach of the Year award.
