The New York Jets' fifteenth season was in 1974, playing their home games at Shea Stadium. During the offseason they hired Charley Winner to lead the team. During his time in the NFL he was head coach for five years. They finished the season 7-7-0, 3-4-0 at home and 4-3-0 on the road. At the end of the season, Joe Namath was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year award.
