The St. Louis Rams' sixty-fifth season was in 2000, playing their home games at Trans World Dome. During the offseason they hired Mike Martz to lead the team. Martz previously was the offensive coordinator of the St. Louis Rams and had eight years of coaching experience in the NFL. They finished the year 10-6-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the New Orleans Saints 31-28. At the end of the season, Marshall Faulk was awarded with the AP Offensive Player of the Year award.
