2000 was the twenty-fifth season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the fourth season for Tony Dungy as the head coach of the Buccaneers. They finished the season 10-6-0 in the regular season. However, they lost their first playoff game to the Philadelphia Eagles 21-3. At the conclusion of the season Derrick Brooks was awarded with the Walter Payton Man of the Year.
