The New Orleans Saints' twenty-first season was in 1987, and it was the second season Jim E. Mora (Sr.) served as the head coach of the team. The Saints played their home games at Louisiana Superdome. They finished the year 12-3-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the Minnesota Vikings 44-10.
