The Pittsburgh Steelers' sixty-ninth season was in 2002, and it was the eleventh season Bill Cowher served as the head coach of the team. The Steelers played their home games at Heinz Field. They finished the year 10-5-1 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC North, and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Tennessee Titans 34-31. At the end of the season, Tommy Maddox was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year award.
