The Oakland Raiders' forty-third season was in 2002. During the offseason they hired Bill Callahan to lead the team. Callahan previously was the offensive coordinator/offensive line coach of the Oakland Raiders and had seven years of coaching experience in the NFL. They finished the year 11-5-0 in the regular season and 2-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 48-21.
