The Los Angeles Chargers' first season was in 1960, playing their home games at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. During the offseason they hired Sid Gillman to lead the team. Gillman brought five years of experience as a head coach. They finished the regular season 10-4-0 and continued to the postseason. They faced the Houston Oilers in the playoffs and lost 24-16.
