The New York Titans' first season was in 1960, playing their home games at Polo Grounds. During the offseason they hired Sammy Baugh to lead the team. Baugh had never previously coached in the AFL in any capacity before the 1960 season. They finished the season 7-7-0, 3-4-0 at home and 4-3-0 on the road.
