The Oakland Raiders' first season was in 1960, playing their home games at Candlestick Park. During the offseason they hired Eddie Erdelatz to lead the team. Erdelatz previously was the assistant coach of the San Francisco 49ers in 1949 and has a total of two years of coaching in the AAFC.
