Career Summary
Mike Tice was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1996 to 2017, finishing his career as the offensive line coach of the Oakland Raiders. Over his twenty-one years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 182-154-0. He was the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings from 2002 until the 2005 season, during which time the Vikings went 32-32-0. During his career he was a head coach for four seasons. He was fired from the Vikings on Sunday, January 1, 2006.

Before he was a head coach, Tice served as an assistant coach for Dennis Green, Jack Del Rio, Lovie Smith, and Mike Smith. Seven of these years were spent on Del Rio's coaching staff. One assistant coach from his coaching staffs, Scott Linehan, was eventually hired as a head coach. After coaching on Mike Tice's coaching staff, he was the head coach of the St. Louis Rams for three seasons where he combined for a regular season record of 11-25-0 and 0-0 in the playoffs.
