1998 was the thirty-eighth season for the Minnesota Vikings and the sixth season for Dennis Green as the head coach of the Vikings. They finished the season 15-1-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs eventually losing to the Atlanta Falcons 30-27. At the conclusion of the season Randy Moss was awarded with the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year.
