Biography

Career Summary

Gene Stallings was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1972 to 1989, finishing his career as the head coach of the Phoenix Cardinals. Over his eighteen years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 168-99-1. He was the head coach of the St. Louis Cardinals from 1986 until the 1989 season, during which time the Cardinals went 23-39-1. During his career he was a head coach for four seasons. He was fired from the Cardinals on Monday, November 20, 1989.
