The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' twenty-second season was in 1997, and it was the second season Tony Dungy served as the head coach of the team. The Buccaneers played their home games at Houlihan's Stadium. They finished the year 10-6-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Green Bay Packers 21-7. At the end of the season, Warrick Dunn was awarded with the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
