The Seattle Seahawks' eighth season was in 1983, playing their home games at Kingdome. During the offseason they hired Chuck Knox to lead the team. During his time in the AFL and NFL he was head coach for ten years. They finished the year 9-7-0 in the regular season and 2-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Los Angeles Raiders 30-14.
