1984 was the ninth season for the Seattle Seahawks and the first season for Chuck Knox as the head coach of the Seahawks. They finished the season 12-4-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs eventually losing to the Miami Dolphins 31-10. At the conclusion of the season two different people were recognized for their successful seasons: Chuck Knox, Coach of the Year and Kenny Easley, AP Defensive Player of the Year.
