The Miami Dolphins' nineteenth season was in 1984, and it was the fifteenth season Don Shula served as the head coach of the team. The Dolphins played their home games at Miami Orange Bowl. They finished the year 14-2-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC East, and 2-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the San Francisco 49ers 38-16. At the end of the season, Dan Marino was awarded with the AP Offensive Player of the Year award.
