The Miami Dolphins' nineteenth season was in 1984, and it was the fourteenth season Don Shula served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 14-2-0 in the regular season and 2-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the San Francisco 49ers 38-16. At the end of the season, Dan Marino was awarded with the AP Offensive Player of the Year award.
