The Minnesota Vikings' thirty-second season was in 1992, playing their home games at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. During the offseason they hired Dennis Green to lead the team. Green previously was the wide receivers coach of the San Francisco 49ers in 1988 and has a total of four years of coaching in the NFL. They finished the year 11-5-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the NFC Central, but they lost their first playoff game to the Washington Redskins 24-7.
