1976 was the sixteenth season for the Minnesota Vikings and the ninth season for Bud Grant as the head coach of the Vikings. They finished the season 11-2-1 in the regular season and 2-1 in the playoffs eventually losing to the Oakland Raiders 32-14. At the conclusion of the season Sammy White was awarded with the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year.
