Biography

Dave Atkins was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1986 until 2008, finishing his career with the Cleveland Browns as their senior offensive assistant coach. Over his twenty-three years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative record of 184-182-1. During the 1995 season as the offensive coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals he coached Garrison Hearst to the Comeback Player of the Year.
