The Boston Patriots' tenth season was in 1969, playing their home games at Alumni Stadium. During the offseason they hired Clive Rush to lead the team. Rush previously was the offensive coordinator of the New York Jets and had six years of coaching experience in the AFL. They finished the season 4-10-0, 2-5-0 at home and 2-5-0 on the road.
