The Philadelphia Eagles' eighty-first season was in 2013, playing their home games at Lincoln Financial Field. During the offseason they hired Chip Kelly to lead the team. Kelly had never previously coached in the NFL in any capacity before the 2013 season. They finished the year 10-6-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the NFC East, but they lost their first playoff game to the New Orleans Saints 26-24.
