College Playing Career
Butler Community College
Press Taylor began his college playing career at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas in 2007. In his two seasons at Butler, the team won 17 of the 18 games he started, en route to winning back-to-back championships.
Marshall University
After two seasons at Butler, Taylor transferred to Marshall for his final two seasons of eligibility. However, he was only a backup for the Thundering Herd, throwing three passes in two seasons. He knew for years his true passion was with coaching football, and he began his coaching career after his eligibility expired.

University of Tulsa
In 2011, Taylor began his coaching career at the University of Tulsa as a graduate student offensive coach, working primarily with the quarterbacks. During his time with Tulsa, the Golden Hurricanes won the Conference USA championship game in 2012 and finished the season ranked 25th in the nation with a record of 10-3.
Professional Career
Philadelphia Eagles
In 2013, Taylor joined the staff of Chip Kelly, newly hired head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. Taylor had met Kelly six months prior while visiting his brother Zac at the Dolphins' headquarters. Kelly stopped by as the head coach of Oregon. Taylor was initially hired as the team’s offensive quality control coach, a position he held until 2015 when Kelly was fired from the Eagles.
Taylor was retained by incoming head coach Doug Pederson and added the title of assistant quarterbacks coach to his duties. In 2017, he helped coach the Eagles to their first Super Bowl victory in franchise history. Following the departure of quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo, Taylor was promoted to that position for the 2018 season.
