2004 was the seventy-first season for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the thirteenth season for Bill Cowher as the head coach of the Steelers. They finished the season 15-1-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs eventually losing to the New England Patriots 41-27. At the conclusion of the season Ben Roethlisberger was awarded with the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year.
