The Pittsburgh Steelers' seventy-first season was in 2004, and it was the thirteenth season Bill Cowher served as the head coach of the team. The Steelers played their home games at Heinz Field. They finished the year 15-1-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC North, and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the New England Patriots 41-27. At the end of the season, Ben Roethlisberger was awarded with the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
