The Pittsburgh Steelers' sixty-eighth season was in 2001, and it was the tenth season Bill Cowher served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 13-3-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the New England Patriots 24-17. At the end of the season Jerome Bettis earned Walter Payton Man of the Year and Kendrell Bell earned AP Defensive Rookie of the Year.
