The Pittsburgh Steelers' sixty-eighth season was in 2001, and it was the tenth season Bill Cowher served as the head coach of the team. The Steelers played their home games at Heinz Field. They finished the year 13-3-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the Central, and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the New England Patriots 24-17. At the end of the season Jerome Bettis earned Walter Payton Man of the Year and Kendrell Bell earned AP Defensive Rookie of the Year.
