The Pittsburgh Steelers' fifty-first season was in 1984, and it was the sixteenth season Chuck Noll served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 9-7-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Miami Dolphins 45-28. At the end of the season John Stallworth earned Comeback Player of the Year and Louis Lipps earned AP Offensive Rookie of the Year.
