The San Francisco 49ers' thirty-ninth season was in 1984, and it was the sixth season Bill Walsh served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 15-1-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Miami Dolphins 38-16, the team's second championship win. At the end of the season, Joe Montana was awarded with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award.
