1959 was the eleventh season for the Baltimore Colts and the fifth season for Weeb Ewbank as the head coach of the Colts. They finished the regular season 9-3-0 and continued on to the postseason. They faced the New York Giants and won, 31-16, clinching the NFL championship for the 1959 season. At the conclusion of the season Johnny Unitas was awarded with the Most Valuable Player.
