Biography

Career Summary

Herman Ball was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1944 to 1968, finishing his career as the offensive coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. Over his twenty-three years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 135-147-5. He was the head coach of the Washington Redskins from 1949 until the 1951 season, during which time the Redskins went 12-23-1. During his career he was a head coach for three seasons.
