Biography

Herman Ball was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1944 to 1968, finishing his career as the offensive coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. Over his sixteen years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 84-110-5. He was the head coach of the Washington Redskins from 1949 until the 1951 season, during which time the Redskins went 12-23-1. During his career he was a head coach for three seasons.
