Career Summary

Chuck Pagano was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 2001 to 2020, finishing his career as the defensive coordinator of the Chicago Bears. Over his eighteen years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 144-144-0. He was the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts from 2012 until the 2017 season, during which time the Colts went 53-43-0. During his career he was a head coach for six seasons. He was fired from the Colts on Sunday, December 31, 2017.

Career Awards

During the 2011 season as the defensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens he coached Terrell Suggs to the AP Defensive Player of the Year.

Before he was a head coach, Pagano served as an assistant coach for Butch Davis, Norv Turner, Art Shell, John Harbaugh, and Matt Nagy. During this time, he coached for four years for Butch Davis and John Harbaugh. One assistant coach from his coaching staffs, Bruce Arians, was eventually hired as a head coach. After coaching on Chuck Pagano's coaching staff, he was the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers for eight seasons where he combined for a regular season record of 80-48-1 and 6-3 in the playoffs. His also coached the 2020 Buccaneers to the Super Bowl.
