2011 was the sixteenth season for the Baltimore Ravens and the third season for John Harbaugh as the head coach of the Ravens. They finished the season 12-4-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs eventually losing to the New England Patriots 23-20. At the conclusion of the season two different people were recognized for their successful seasons: Matt Birk, Walter Payton Man of the Year and Terrell Suggs, AP Defensive Player of the Year.
