Career Summary
Matt Nagy is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs since 2023. Prior to this role, he started with the Chiefs as the team's quarterbacks coach/senior assistant coach in 2022. He was the head coach of the Chicago Bears from 2018 until the 2021 season, during which time the Bears went 34-31-0. During his career he was a head coach for four seasons. He was fired from the Bears on Monday, January 10, 2022. After posting a winning season in his first as a head coach, the Bears failed to achieve that level of success in his subsequent three years as the team's head coach.
Career Awards
Nagy won the NFL's Coach of the Year award in 2018 after guiding the Bears to a 12-4-0 record and a a berth in the playoffs.

Before he was a head coach, Nagy served as an assistant coach for Andy Reid. He spent eleven years as an assistant coach to Andy Reid, finishing as the offensive coordinator in 2024. During his time as head coach, two assistant coaches, (Vic Fangio and Brandon Staley) on his coaching staff were hired as head coaches across the league.
