Career Summary
Mike Munchak was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1994 to 2021, finishing his career as the offensive line coach of the Denver Broncos. Over his twenty-eight years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 238-210-1. He was the head coach of the Tennessee Titans from 2011 until the 2013 season, during which time the Titans went 22-26-0. During his career he was a head coach for three seasons. He was fired from the Titans on Saturday, January 4, 2014. Munchak's firing ended a nearly 30-year connection with the franchise, starting with his hall of fame playing career as an offensive lineman for the team.
Munchak was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001 after his playing career.

Before he was a head coach, Munchak served as an assistant coach for Jack Pardee, Jeff Fisher, Mike Tomlin, and Vic Fangio. Sixteen of these years were spent on Fisher's coaching staff. During his time as head coach, two assistant coaches, (Arthur Smith and Jonathan Gannon) on his coaching staff were hired as head coaches across the league. His coaching tree has combined for a record of 29-47-0 in the regular season and 0-0 in the playoffs during their five seasons as head coach after serving on his coaching staffs.
