Biography

Joe Kuharich was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1946 to 1968, finishing his career as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. Over his twelve years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative record of 63-86-4. During his career he was a head coach for eleven seasons, first with the Chicago Cardinals. He led the Cardinals for one season, compiling a record of 4-8-0. His next head coaching stint was with the Washington Redskins from 1954 to 1958, as he led the team to a 26-32-2 record. His third head coach placement began in 1964 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He coached them for five seasons and the team had a 28-41-1 record during his tenure.
