Biography

Phil Handler was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1936 to 1959, finishing his career as the offensive line coach of the Chicago Bears. Over his eighteen years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative record of 76-120-6. He was the head coach of the Chicago Cardinals from 1943 until the 1945 season, during which time the Cardinals went 1-19-0. During his career he was a head coach for two seasons.
