Biography

Phil Handler was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1936 to 1967, finishing his career as the offensive line coach of the Chicago Bears. Over his thirty-two years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 173-197-14. He was the head coach of the Chicago Cardinals from 1943 until the 1945 season, during which time the Cardinals went 1-19-0. During his career he was a head coach for two seasons.
