Biography

Phil Handler was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1936 until 1951, finishing his career with the Chicago Cardinals as their line coach. Over his fourteen years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative record of 54-98-5. During his career he was the head coach of the Chicago Cardinals from 1943 until the 1945 season. The Cardinals went 1-20-0 during their two seasons with Handler as head coach.
