Career Summary
Curly Lambeau was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1921 to 1953, finishing his career as the head coach of the Washington Redskins. Over his thirty-three years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 226-133-22. During his career he was a head coach for thirty-three seasons, first with the Green Bay Packers. He led the Packers for twenty-nine seasons, compiling a record of 208-104-21. During his time leading the Packers the team won the championship in 1936, 1939, and 1944. His next head coaching stint was with the Chicago Cardinals from 1950 to 1951, as he led the team to a 8-16-0 record. His third head coach placement began in 1952 with the Washington Redskins. He coached them for two seasons and the team had a 10-13-1 record during his tenure. During his entire head coaching career, his three teams combined for a record of 226-133-22 across thirty-three seasons including going 3-2-0 in the playoffs.
