The Seattle Seahawks' thirty-eighth was in 2013, and it was the third season Pete Carroll served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 13-3-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Denver Broncos 43-8, the team's first championship win. At the end of the season, Malcolm Smith was awarded with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award.
